Leah is a PhD student in UCLA's Health Psychology program. Prior to UCLA, she earned her BS in Psychology at the University of Georgia and worked as a Research Assistant in the Health and Development Lab (Center for Family Research) and the Georgia Attitude, Bias, and Behavior Lab.

​

Her research focuses on how trauma and early life adversity becomes biologically embedded. She is particularly interested in understanding the influence of contextual factors on PTSD onset and cardiovascular disease risk. Leah is also interested in identifying psychosocial facets of resilience after trauma exposure. In her free time, she likes to crochet and garden.
